Molly’s Senior Session

  • December 9, 2009 6:55 pm

Molly is the daughter of one of my mom’s closest friends. Now I have only met her twice berfore, I have heard stories as she has grown up. Now she lives two hours away in New Orleans and loved my work so much that she drove all the way to Lafayette and the to Washington, La another 45 mins away to shoot with me and to have pictures that aren’t like her friends shot in the New Orleans Quarter and Downtown Area. I was more than happy to do so and we had such a blast!

Here are a few of my favorites from the set. I hope you enjoy and would love any feedback you may have. Thank you for viewing!

“Follow Me” Session with Riley and Family

  • September 23, 2009 10:32 pm

criley lane

I was hired by a wonderful family to capture their adorable Riley’s 6 month mark as well as their first professional family session. Not only was I able to capture Riley with mom and dad but also her grandmother and GREAT grandmother. I had 4 generations of lovely ladies from this beautiful family. This was a “Follow Me” Session where I spent the whole day with the family shadowing them around where ever they went. We visited River Ranch and then to their home. Even their dogs jumped into several shots.

Here are a few of my favorites from the day. You can see the complete session at http://www.amys1000.com/pcart/index.php?do=photocart&viewGallery=1196

Her nickname is “Monkey” and I thought putting her in a shot with some of her monkeys would be cute and she just loved it.

She thought she was cute as well when she noticed her reflection in my lens and just felt the need to touch. I got lucky and caught this image and just love it.

ceDSC_3173-2

A great thing about my “Follow Me” sessions is that there is no rush. She was getting cranky and was able to nap in her own bed and on time so her routine was not interrupted. While she napped I was able to get shots of her sleeping peacefully and then mom and dad getting pictures together for the first time in awhile of them being themselves.

Mom and Dad are both in the Army and I felt that this picture was a MUST.

She woke up, grandma came over with her great grandmother and off we went.

We found this cute little courtyard while walking in River Ranch and it had this HUGE fountain that was just beautiful. Riley just loved it and had to get her hands in it.

Behind the scenes at Lila’s session

  • September 23, 2009 8:40 pm

One of my assistants, Candace helps Mommy get Lila into her tutu.

ceN09_4575-1

Lila on the run in the kitchen with my bag lady prop cart. Some how all the kids love it. hehehe

ceN09_4296-1

Lila was teething and loved my cold water bottle and stole it every chance she got. What can I say, I have the coolest toys EVER!

Lila turn 1

  • September 23, 2009 7:53 pm

I have been so lucky to be able to document Lila from the time she was a newborn and her awesome parents Jason and Jill. Well Lila just turned one year old. She was learning how to walk and I was honored to be a part that special time as well as to document it forever. This was a “Follow Me” Session where I spent the whole day with the family shadowing them around where ever they went.

Here are some of my favorite shots from her session that took place at “The Egg” and her home. You can find the complete session at http://www.amys1000.com/pcart/index.php?do=photocart&viewGallery=1161

And showing grandma how she is walking! Look at the surprise in both of their faces. Another image that “Follow Me” sessions are able to capture.

YAY Lila

ceN09_4664-1-2

The grass always feels kinda itchy on their little legs and I always get the funniest expressions from the little ones when I pose them on it.

ceN09_4542-1-4

Lila caught being sneaky. She was about to attach one of my prop buckets.

ceN09_4510-1

Got the legs warmers! She needed a little help putting them on though.

ceN09_4500-1

But she found a whole lot of fun stuff in there and it was DRESS UP TIME!

ceN09_4399-1

Lila in her adorable monogrammed birthday dress. It made her eyes pop out so much!

ceN09_4395-1

ceN09_4367-1-2

The sun was beaming in from the living room window and for a split second it hit her face and she glowed like a little angel. Isn’t she just perfect?

ceN09_4348-1

Doesn’t her chair just rock! This was one of her birthday presents from her grandma. I fell in love with that chair.

ceN09_4332-1

Her teeth started to bother her again so off we went to the Egg. The pain didn’t get better but even cranky we were able to get some cute pictures. I am not sure I have ever been able to get a bad shot of Lila over the past 12 months though. That face is just too perfect for words.

ceN09_3435-3

Not even the cold stone bench on those chubby thighs made her mind get off those teeth for a minute. At the time we couldn’t figure out anything to make her smile. Poor baby with those mean ole teeth!!

ceN09_3414-311

Then she found the “magic” finger which seemed to help enough to bring that smile back, for a moment at least. Just long enough for a few shots cuddling with mommy.

c

These are some of the shots from the 1st session we had that are now framed on the wall of her bedroom.
